Can I trial Gym01 before joining?

What is the minimum age to join Gym01?

The minimum age to join is 4 years old. Adult Memberships starts from 16 years +

What shall I bring on my first visit to Gym01?
This will depend on what class you would like to do! But usually, normal gym kit (shorts and t-shirt) is all you need. We provide gloves, pads, and Gis but as you progress you might want to get your own gear. Bring a water bottle as well to keep hydrated! We also sell a variety of drinks at reception including smoothies!

How do I join after my day pass?
Come in and pay us a visit! All you need is your bank account details to set up the direct debit or we have options for you to pay upfront! Check out a list of our prices HERE. Or you are now able to Join Online! Your Day Pass will be refunded once you join fully.

How do I pay?
You can pay for membership in the Gym with cash or card. You’ll be required to set up a direct debit for all monthly payments, so we will need your bank details. A Joining fee will also be applicable.

Are there extras to pay for, once I have joined Gym01?
There is a yearly insurance fee to train which is renewable at £20 on the anniversary of the month you joined and is necessary to enter the gym for any session.

Can I bring a guest with me to Gym01?
Yes, you can! If you let us know in advance, we can provide a pass and have someone show them around. Refer them to sign up fully and you can receive a discount on your membership!

Can I pay upfront for 1 year?
Yes, you can and we will provide you with a 20% discount as an incentive.

When does the first month’s payment come out of my bank account?
The membership payment will come out as soon as you wish for the membership to start. All future fees come out on the 1st of every month.

Is it possible to change my direct debit date?
No, each month’s membership needs to be paid on the 1st of every calendar month.

What facilities can I use?
As a member, you can have access to classes with the correct membership and have the use of all our facilities. That includes the upstairs and downstairs mats, ring, cage, boxing bags, weights, and cardio equipment. Gym only members can have access to classes at a PAYG rate.

Can I use the gym while classes are on?
Yes, you can! Our gym is in the next unit so are unaffected by classes. Classes will have priority over the Bag station.

I don’t want to fight or compete, can I still come along?

Of course! At Gym01 we pride ourselves on maintaining an environment in which anybody can train, free of judgment and regardless of ability or experience! We try to cater to every type of member, so if you just want to keep fit or learn some new skills, we are the perfect place! However, if you were interested in competing, we’re also able to offer that as well.

How do I book a class?
Using your member app (Fitsense) you can book a class up to 2 weeks in advance or book online HERE. Please cancel if you can’t make it, otherwise, you could lose your booking privilege.

Are the classes usually full?
Like any gym, we have our peak times. The evening classes are usually more full than others, however, with our booking system, everyone has the opportunity to attend all classes.

Can I freeze my membership?
Yes, this is available for free, for a maximum of 6 months. 1-full calendar months’ notice is required.

How do I cancel my membership?
Please email us at hello@gym01.com or call us on 02392 177323. Giving at least 1 full calendar months’ notice. You can also send a ‘feedback’ form via your Fitsense App.

Why is Club wise appearing on my Bank Statement?
Club-wise collects our membership fees from your account, processes those payments and then pass them on to Gym01. This is why Club Wise will appear on your bank statement rather than Gym01.

How do I book a personal training session?
Email us or call us with your requirements and availability. We will get the trainer to contact you for personal training sessions. Prices vary from Coach to Coach. Click HERE to contact us to set up a 1 on 1 session.
